Remove Disqualification
If you have been disqualified from driving for more than 2 years, the law permits you to apply for a reduction in the period of your disqualification under certain conditions.
The circumstances in which you are able to apply for a reduction of the period of your disqualification are: -
- After serving 2 years of the disqualification period, if you were disqualified for more than 2 but less than 4 years.
- After half the period of the disqualification has been served if you were disqualified for less than 10 years but not less than 4 years.
- After serving 5 years of the disqualification if you were disqualified for 10 years or more.
You will need to apply to the convicting Court. You may need to pay a fee. Notice has to be given to the police and the Prosecution will have an opportunity to object.
With our experience of these matters we are able to advise on the prospects of the application being successful and what evidence will be required. Skilled advocacy can make a huge difference as to the prospects of success.
